-
Plan the installation: Determine the length and route of the pipe, as well as the fittings required to connect the pipe to the water source and other plumbing fixtures.
-
Prepare the tools: You will need a pipe cutter, reamer, deburring tool, flux, solder, and a propane torch.
-
Cut the pipe: Measure and mark the pipe according to your plan, and cut it to the desired length using a pipe cutter. Make sure the cut is clean and square.
-
Ream and deburr: Use a reamer to remove any burrs or rough edges from the cut end of the pipe. Then use a deburring tool to remove any sharp edges or rough spots on the inside of the pipe.
-
Apply flux: Apply a small amount of flux to the end of the pipe and the inside of the fitting.
-
Insert the pipe: Insert the pipe into the fitting, making sure it is seated firmly and evenly.
-
Heat the joint: Using a propane torch, heat the joint evenly until the solder melts and flows into the joint.
-
Clean up: Allow the joint to cool for a few seconds, then use a damp cloth to wipe away any excess flux or solder.
-
Test the connection: Turn on the water supply and check for leaks at the joint. If there are no leaks, proceed to the next joint.
Repeat the above steps for each joint until the entire Copper Composite Pipe installation is complete.
It's important to note that installing Copper Composite Pipe requires some plumbing experience and knowledge of local plumbing codes. If you're not confident in your abilities, it's always best to consult a professional plumber.
